Title: U_S 82 Eastbound and Westbound from mile marker 117 to mile marker 126, 9 miles East of Artesia.
Description: Construction work has begun on nine miles of U.S. 82 in Eddy County, just east of Artesia. This project consists of a three inch overlay, traffic control, pavement markings, and miscellaneous construction. Construction will last approximately 5 to 6 months. During this project motorists can expect short delays between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Motorists are asked to watch for construction personnel working in the area, observe temporary lane closures, and reduce speed while work is taking place. Additionally, there are 12-foot width restrictions in place for vehicles entering the work zone.
